Section 1: Basics

While entering MPG, the first thing you should consider is hiring operatives and defenses. These units can be found under the hire button on the top of your navigation bar.

To keep your units happy, you will need items to satisfy your needs. Guns and narcotics for your du's, and just narcotics for your operatives. You can also buy planes to cut down on your traveling costs and jack other planes from players, and cars to commit drive-by's and steal in your attacks as well. This can be found once again on the navigation bar on the top of your screen, untitled Black Market.

You can make money through collections via your operatives in the collect option in your navigation.

As the game consistently carries on whilst you are not online, your turns shall rebuild. Log in again to use them for hiring, collecting, producing, attacks, and more.

When you feel ready, you can attack other players within the game. This can be done via the attack menu in your navigation (this will allow you to see who is available to attack in your city and others), or looking at somebody's profile and discover if they are in range to attack them.

You can put some of your cash in the bank. There are two options. The bank will deposit a certain amount of your value, and is not attackable. This requires 25 turns to deposit. The offshore bank will create interest on your deposited cash (higher percentage payout if you hold a higher sub), but a certain percentage is attackable for any player. This requires 25 turns to deposit and withdraw.

You have the choice of starting your own family, and working your way up the mafioso world of MPG, or you can join an already established family and work your way up the ladder.

Enjoy the game, and have fun!

Section 2: Rounds

Each round lasts 7 days (beginning and ending on a Saturday), which allows new and old players alike to restart and begin their assault on the game on even footing. Once each round finishes, a new one will begin, with prizes being given out to the winners of the individual, killer, and family ranks. You will also be able to start afresh, with a new name, family, and more once it begins (if you want to). You are also given a certain amount of turns each 10 minutes (depends on whether you have a sub, or the rules in which have been put in place). Each round, you are given reserve turns. These are a extra turns given tan help start you up. You can either use them as soon as you log in, or save them for another time. Also, there are certain instances when the staff feel obliged or generous, giving out extra free turns. These will be placed This will serve turns section, and can be added any time you want them to be.

Section 3: Turns

Turns are the lifeblood of the game. Without turns, you can't do much else. Turns can be used for banking, sending cash, attacking players, to hire op's and du's, collecting and producing. For every 10 minutes, you receive a certain amount of turns (depending on your status), with reserve turns being given at the beginning of the round and sometimes from the staff during the round itself.

Section 4: Networth

To rank in the game, you will need to have a higher networth than other players. This can be totalled through these statistics:

On-hand value
Bank and offshore cash
Guns, narcotics, planes, and cars
Value of your du's and op's.

The value of your operative's are:

Whores ($2,500)
Card dealers ($2,000)
Bootleggers ($1,500)
Hustlers ($1,000)
Punks ($500)

The value of your defensive are:

a) Hitmen ($1,000)
b) Thugs ($500)
c) Bodyguards ($500)

Section 5: Families

With MafiaPlayGround, family is everything. This is a simulation of the mafia world after all. You can either join a family already established in the game, or create your own fledging group, with other mafioso's bowing to your feet. A family can bring protection, cash, and ranks.

Section 6: Hire

No respectable mafioso ever does the jobs he wants done by himself. That's where hiring comes in. Your defensive units with attack, kill, and loot for you; whilst he operatives will bring in that well-needed cash. You can recruit through the hire section on the navigation bar on the top of the screen, and using your available turns to hire.

Section 7: Operatives

Operatives most of the time bring in your cash for your defensive units. These are:

Whores – Will whore themselves out, and give you the cash.
Hustlers – Will hunt down possible unpaid loans.
Card dealers – Work the tables at the casino.
Bootleggers – Create alcohol for your units, or to sell at the black market.
Punks – Will bully, and threaten people to bet, and produce fake cash.

If there are no defensive units to protect them, then they will be vulnerable to attack.

Section 8: Defense

Defensive units protect your value, and your operatives, whilst attacking the other mafioso's in the game. The defensive that you can recruit are:

Hitmen – Most powerful defensive unit. Will do the job, no matter how much it is.
Thugs – Not a fully fledged mafioso, but knows how to kill.
Bodyguards – Easily the most abundant when recruiting, and are a good source of protection; weak on the attacking front.

Section 9: Happiness

The happiness of your defensive units and operatives are vital. If they are not happy, they will not work at their optimum potential, and will leave you. Your operatives need alcohol and coke for full happiness, whilst your defensive units only need weed. You will also need to equip them with weapons.

Section 10: Black market

In the black market, you can buy everything that you need for your units. You will be able to buy narcotics, guns, cars, and planes.

Narcotics – Used to keep your units happy. Better to buy a higher stock for long term happiness for your units.
Weapons – The major accessory for your du's. Without guns, they will not be able to protect you, making you an easy target. The available guns are glocks, shotguns, uzi's, and ak's. The more expensive the weapon, the better they are to protect you. Cars – Used for drive-by's, and stealing other mafioso's cars. The Chrysler-300 can hold 5 defensive units. Planes – These are used to travel to other cities, cutting the cost on travelling. The plane can hold 250 units.

Section 11: Produce

Producing is used to operate your illegal activities.

Your Card dealers are used to run your casino tables.
Your whores are used to work in your brothels.
Your hustlers are used to collect loan payments in your loan sharks.
Your punks are also used to run your gambling dens.

Section 12: Attacking

Attacking is one of the major sources of enjoyment in the game. Its what a mafioso's breaths for. You can only attack players with half the value of yourself, and fouIt'simes the value as well. To attack, you can do it through:

Searching cities – Looking through each city for a target can be the best way. The city value will show how many op's, du's, and value the other player has.
Searching families – This will discover unlikely targets in which you may have missed looking through cities.
Attack section – Will list every player in range in the city.

There is a limit on how much you can attack a certain amount of plistsr (once every hour, or 24 attacks per day). If you lose an attack, it will not count towards maxing.

Attacking Headquarters – The most commonly used attack. You can hit their du's. If you win, you can steal the defeated du's guns, and a percentage of their on-hand cash.
Drive-by – If you have enough cars to do a drive-by's, you can attack them. You will only kill defensive units, and not gain any value from it.
Run up bank – You will steal a percentage of the deposited cash in the offshore bank.
Attack gun stash – If you win the attack, you will win a higher percentage of guns then if you attacked other options.
Attack drug stash – If you win the attack, you will gain a percentage of their narcotic stash.
Attack cars – This will result in a percentage of cars won during a successful attack.
Attack planes – This will result in a percentage of planes won during a successful attack.

Section 13: Revenge

A revenge is when you are attacked by another player, and you are given the chance to have unlimited attacks upon that player for a whole 24 hours since the last hit was made, even if he is out of range. Remember, even if you hit him, he will always have a revenge on you, allowing to hit you at a different time.

Section 14: Travel

Travelling is used to move about the game. May be down to the fact somebody is attacking you, or you are actually attacking somebody else. Whatever the reason is, it will cost you to travel (whether its down to a short term cost of flying for the ticket fee's, or buying your own fleet of planes).

Section 15: The staff

The staff are here to improve your level of enjoyment in the game, and to make sure you are consistently enjoying this great game.
